Hi Tara, thanks for asking about my Sarah Woolson historical mystery series. The books are set in 1880s San Francisco, and feature a feisty and outspoken young woman who, if she were real, would have been only the third female attorney in the state of California.
When Sarah finagles an interview with one of the city's ...most prestigious law firms -- MURDER ON NOB HILL, the first book in the series -- no one thinks she has a prayer of being hired, except Sarah. Using her brains and a little subterfuge, she not only manages to become the firm's newest (and only female) associate attorney, she also acquires her first client -- a lovely young society matron suspected of brutally stabbing to death her wealthy but abusive husband. When four more victims fall prey to the killer's knife, Sarah finds herself embroiled in shady legal maneuvers, a daring Chinatown raid, and a scandalous sex club.

Being a Gemini, I have more interests than I know what to do with. Naturally I love reading all sorts of books, from biographies to fantasy. My favorite reads are probably mysteries, thrillers and sci-fi, but I'm also very interested in self-help and books on spiritual growth and evolution.
I'm also into snow skiing, y...oga, playing the guitar and banjo, singing, roller-blading, walking, biking, movies, DVDs, knitting, crocheting and cross-stitching. WOW! No wonder I never have any surplus time to just relax! (Maybe I should cultivate relaxation as another interest). It goes without saying that I love writing, and creating worlds populated by interesting and well-defined characters placed in exciting and emotional situations. My mysteries are whodunits, which is rather like creating fascinating puzzles with all the pieces honestly placed for the reader to solve.
