On Halloween 2009, Michelle Fox and Brian Stretton exchanged vows at a moonlight ceremony in the Gazebo Garden at Shadowbrook. In the spirit of the holiday, the gate was embellished with decorated pumpkins, the marble runner was lined with headstones surrounded by “fog”and the bridal party wore red and black with spid...er web shawls. The Cocktail Hour in the Palm Terrace preceded an elaborate masquerade ball style reception. The guests wore a myriad of costumes and the entire Oak Room was decorated for Halloween with knights in shining armor flanking the marble fireplace, coffins, goblins, spider web table linens and red and black sashes on all the chairs. The bridal party was introduced in dazzling glittered masks as Michelle & Brian shared their first dance as husband and wife. Following was Michelle and her Dad dancing to the Beatles “Michelle”, for which she was named. The favors were alternating gargoyles and headstones and the red cake was decorated with black bats and a Halloween style cake topper. The guests enjoyed “trick or treating” at the festive candy bar and had a wonderful time.

The Monmouth Council of Boy Scouts, celebrating 100 years, was proud to honor Peter Cancro with the 36th Joshua Huddy Distinguished Citizen Award at a “Gala Under The Stars” in the Oak Room on Saturday October 24, 2009. Peter is the founder & CEO of Jersey Mike’s Franchise Systems. Over the years, Peter has been an out...standing member of the community, always giving back and making a difference. The event was coordinated by Ross Munt and Monmouth Council of Boy Scouts President Carl Gross, longtime friend of Robert Zweben, proud owner of Shadowbrook. The elaborate cocktail hour display featured chafing dishes, assorted seafood, sumptuous salads and pastas as well as a carving station followed by a sit down dinner. The award presentation included the local Monmouth Council Boy Scout troop flag ceremony and the evening was enhanced by the smooth performance of the Jazz Lobsters.

Shadowbrook graced their entrance with spectacular giant pumpkins, gourds, mums and fall foliage just in time for Andrea & Michael Siano’s wedding celebration in the Oak Room The couples autumn themed wedding was complete with floral centerpieces and a stacked square wedding cake adorned with autumn’s rusts and golds. ...It was a fabulous evening with the musical talents of Mission Dance Entertainment for Andrea & Michael’s first dance. On Friday October 16, 2009 Jamie Abline and James Kunda exchanged vows in the elegant Oak Room at Shadowbrook. The beautiful autumn themed wedding was complete with a lovely arch of Fall Foliage, a marble aisle runner adorned with pumpkins and gorgeous rust colored satin bridesmaids gowns. The cocktail hour buffet feat...ured an intricate Pumpkin Ice Carving followed by a grand reception in the Oak Room with the spectacular marble fireplace blazing and votives hanging from the elaborate centerpieces. The bridal party was introduced and Jamie & James had their first dance as husband and wife on the Oak ballroom dance floor.
