Residents of South Silver Spring celebrated the unity of the neighborhood Saturday with their second annual block party, showing off the area's new high-rise residential buildings, active streets and young families with a day of fun and festivities.

What a great block party we had on Saturday! Our third annual event was the best one yet. All of our neighbors who work at NOAA came through for us and made sure that the weather was simply amazing....

South Silver Spring Neighborhood Association Today is the 3rd annual South Silver Spring block party!! Join us from 1-6pm at Kennett Street by Acorn Park. We'll have food (Indian, Italian, Mediterranean and ice cream), arts & crafts, more than $1,600 worth of raffle prizes, animal adoptions, live musical performances and a Hook & Ladder brewery beer garden. So remember to bring some cash. It's going to be a great day!!!
