Residents of South Silver Spring celebrated the unity of the neighborhood Saturday with their second annual block party, showing off the area's new high-rise residential buildings, active streets and young families with a day of fun and festivities.

South Silver Spring Neighborhood Association Today is the 3rd annual South Silver Spring block party!! Join us from 1-6pm at Kennett Street by Acorn Park. We'll have food (Indian, Italian, Mediterranean and ice cream), arts & crafts, more than $1,600 worth of raffle prizes, animal adoptions, live musical performances and a Hook & Ladder brewery beer garden. So remember to bring some cash. It's going to be a great day!!!
