We got our copies back from the printers yesterday, and will soon have ordering information available. Meanwhile, enjoy the new cover art!

Hi Vince! There are definitely text write-ups; in fact, those are the focus, although the art is important too.

The entries came first; we put out a call for submissions, and ended up accepting 48 entries. Then, Janet Chui illustrated each and every one based on the descriptions given, painting them in watercolor. I've seen the finished pages, and they look amazing.

Hope you enjoy the book!

What an interesting project. Are there just the illustrations? Or are there also write-ups of the surreal flora?

A chicken-and-egg question: if there are write-ups, did the illustrations come first? Or vice versa: did poets or fiction writers or whoever come up with the text first and then illustrators were commissioned?

Very cool!
