I dont agree with SMRT's actions of disallowing plain water and sweets on MRT and giving fines to people drinking plain water or eating sweets. have they not thought that the person may be having a sore throat or suffers from low blood sugar ?

(my opinion about being too strict): I know what that "No eating and drinking" rule means, but people may become thirsty after a short while or maybe some of them are ill and therefore need to take medication. I feel like its kinda too harsh for those who NEEDS to drink plain water.
(my other opinion): But I think SMRT... "pok kai" liao, lol. Suddenlly want to fine people just because they drink or eat sweet or medicines.
