Skate Richmond, KY The Tony Hawk Foundation is the most well known means of support for those who hope to see a public skatepark built in their hometown. The website is one of several great websites for skatepark advocates. The Foundation also provides grants to communities seeking to build a skatepark - and we want one - but they are not easy to get.

Skate Richmond, KY *** UPDATE *** We learned last night the Richmond City Commission shot down the Richmond Parks and Rec request to fund the skatepark. This is the 200K proposal that was reported in the Register. Some commissioners do not see a "need" and do not believe there is much support for the park. The commissioners have good ...intentions, but are wrong about the skatepark. Stay tuned.
