And so the season ends on a hugely optimistic note, metres of fresh snow across most of the alpine destinations, showing clearly that nature has no patience with this man-made recession, I am sure is starting to get a little fed up with man altogether...

Traffic can tell you a lot... And this year the traffic told me that there were definitely fewer skiers in the Tarentaise Valley than in previous years...

Parents beware, next winter half-term is looking to be very popular, all schools are on the same week, so lots of demand for catered chalets, club hotels and childcare; and as always despite the exorbitant prices its flying out the door like hotcakes. Definitely don't leave it to the last minute.

Today I had to explain at least 6 times, why there was no availability into anything for this next weekend... No chalet beds, no hotel beds, no apartments, and certainly no flights to any major ski destinations from the UK for this weekend... People just don't get it.....
