These images were first taken from HD video I shot with a very low shutter speed and moving the camera around for motion blurs. I think pulled frames out of the video stream that I felt worked well as abstract stills. ...

This is why I make images... so that all my moments will NOT... "be lost in time like tears in rain."

This show was up at Thunderbird Cafe in a different form. This time the display has changed into more of an "installation".
"For this show I wanted to play around a bit and experiment with abstracts. I was curious whether or not the nature of composed abstract photographic images consisting of mostly color and texture...... would still hold up when sliced and dissected into individual pieces.
I found that they did in fact hold up quite well! And in some cases, portions were even stronger than the whole.
The display was something I wanted to play around will as well, so I decided to slice up large abstracts into smaller pieces on a grid. I printed them and bagged each in a "specimen" acetate bag, and then used long pins similar to what you might use to do a dissection or display insects to put the entire piece back together like an assortment of butterflies making up a larger butterfly."

There will also be a reception for this show to be announced.
The display will be up for November through December, so stop by and let me know what you think about it!

Got a framed collection ready to hang. Figured I'd make a little slide
show to email to local hip spots for vino, cafes, etc. instead of
driving around with my iPhone gallery. Figured I'd drop it here for my
fans too. ;-)
