Aux côtés d'un Sleater-Kinney, James Mercer, tête pensante des Shins, tiendra le rôle principal d'un long-métrage à paraître en 2009.
De l'importance des clips dans la carrière, ou les contre-pieds de carrière, des groupes de rock. La tête pensante des Shins James Mercer, qui avait rencontré le réalis...ateur Matt McCormick lors du tournage des clips Australia ou The Past and Pending, a été recruté par ce dernier pour tenir le rôle principal d'un prochain long-métrage, intitulé Some Days Are Better Than Others.
En post-production mais prévu pour 2009, le film devrait, rapportait récemment McCormick à Pitchfork, parler "de personnes solitaires cherchant à créer leurs propres formes abstraites de communication". McCormick est un homme de goût, puisqu'il a également recruté dans les rangs du rock US indé l'ex-Sleater-Kinney et légendaire Carrie Brownstein, qui tiendra le second grand rôle aux côtés de Mercer."
