There's amazing stuff happening in Calgary all the time, all over the city! That said, great, talented and creative young minds are moving out of this city constantly, which is heartbreaking, and news like this makes it easier and easier for that to be a justifiable solution. This city has made a lot of progress in recent years, but this is a step backwards, and something that none of us should take lightly.

Calgary is a very close minded city. Getting off topic of the music scene. Look at how many gay clubs we have.. Only one. And the city keeps denying any new "gay orientated" clubs of opening. The news of this establishment being closed down is really no surprise to me. Its just typical Calgary. The only thing I have to look forward to in Calgary ... See Moreis 1) Sled Island and 2) Calgary stampede. And how often are these events? Being a musician myself, its true. I don't want to live in such a close minded city.. The only thing keeping me in this beautiful city. Is hoping that one day Calgary takes off its red neck cowboy hat. And becomes a bit more open minded to culture.
