SmallShrink 0.2 is available for download. I feel that this is a big, big improvement on the initial 0.1 release as it has numerous enhancements in the user interface.
SmallDVD SmallDVD 2.1. Includes new version of ffmpeg, with lots of new file formats supported and a few other minor enhancements. Now Intel + Leopard/Snow Leopard only. Sorry PPC/Tiger users.

While the functional differences from 2.0 are fairly small, it is a significant release in that it is now Intel-only, and requires Mac OS X 10.5 (Leopard) or 10.6 (Snow Leopard).
SmallDVD If you're interested in SmallDVD, you might also be interested in SmallShrink. It's the first small (very small) step towards a free equivalent of the legendary DVD Shrink app for Windows. It extracts the main movie from a DVD and shrinks it down to fit onto a 4.7Gb single layer DVD-R. v0.1 has just been released, but ...is very experimental. If you're feeling brave, try it!

SmallDVD SmallDVD 2.0 released. And oops. I forgot to tell you about 2.0b3 on here. 2.0b3 had drag & drop and the ability to burn DVDs directly from SmallDVD (instead of using Disk Utility). 2.0 has some bug fixes on top of that.

SmallDVD 2.0 beta 2 is available for download. The main new feature in this release is the ability to set custom video and audio conversion bitrates. There are also one or two minor bug fixes.
SmallDVD SmallDVD works with Snow Leopard. SmallNews almost works (fix coming soon). SmallMP3 is rather more seriously broken.

works, but it does generate a lot of warnings about dates which rather ruins the layout of the newspaper. I will release a fix shortly.
SmallDVD Tiger/10.4 compatibility for SmallDVD 1.0 and 2.0 beta 1 fixed. Only realised it was broken when someone pointed it out to me earlier today. Sorry about that.

I discovered today that neither SmallDVD 1.0 nor 2.0 beta 1 worked on MacOSX 10.4/Tiger. This was due to (a) a rather silly change Apple made in the Leopard development tools and (b) my total failure to test these releases on 10.4. Many thanks to Manu for pointing this out to me.
