Glacier View RV Park Remembrance Day Service in Smithers starts at 10:45 at the Smithers Cenotaph after the parade comes to attention on-site. At 10:45 there will be the singing of OCanada followed by a brief address by Padre and a brief address by Mayor Farrow of Smithers; the Lord's Prayer; Legion Prayer and at 11 the Last Post and the minute of Silence. The parade will then stand at ease as the Laying of the Wreaths occurs.

Glacier View RV Park Monday, October 12 12:00, BC Parks is hosting a walk through Driftwood Canyon Park to showcase upgrades. The Federation of BC Naturalists received funding through the federal government for this project and the Smithers Alpine Rotary Club also received funding from the Wetzin'kwa Community Forest to improve the signage at the Park. Glacier View RV Park The Houston Chamber of Commerce received a collect call today from a man stating he was the Chief of a local Band. There had been a death in the family, he and the rest of the band office were to attend a Pow Wow in Alberta. He needed them to hve the Mayor transfer $328.00 to a Robert Peter in the Main and Hasting Royal Bank in Vancouver. This issue has been reported to the RCMP and Phone Busters.

The Town of Smithers is hosting a public forum on THURSDAY, SEPTEMBER 10, 2009 from 7:00 pm - 9:00 p.m. at the Hudson Bay Lodge in the Summit Room. The intent of this forum is to give the community the opportunity to express their concerns and to speak with NAV Canada representatives directly.
