25 Random Things About Bryant
- You might arrive at your freshman Foundations for Learning class to find President Machtley is your instructor.
- Arrive early to get a good seat for Bingo nights -- you just might walk away with an iPod, dvd player, or a loaded Visa card. li>
- Bryant LAX has the #1 player in the country right now.
- Finding a seat in Salmo on Taco Thursdays is tough, but not as tough as getting a treadmill in the fitness center before Spring Break.
- Wanna start a Madden ’09 student club—give it a try. Lots of student clubs and organizations have been launched in the past two years.
- What do Bryant and Steven Spielberg have in common? The architect that designed the Bello Center also did the Academy Award–winning director’s house.
- A couple of years ago a student climbed into the globe at Bryant’s entrance . . . naked. And he couldn’t get out without the help of local firefighters. Oops.
- The morning egg line closes at exactly 9:30am on the weekdays, no exceptions.
- Last year, two former presidents spoke at Bryant: William J. Clinton stumped for Hillary, and George H. W. Bush was the commencement speaker.
- Bulldog pride means that black and gold will become a big part of your wardrobe.
- You never know when your picture is going to end up on the Bryant Web site, so smile : )
- You will share your four years at Bryant with several families of Canadian geese.
- Always bring your ID when you leave campus or DPS will not let you back in.
- Everyone on campus goes to the Spring Weekend concert. This year Fabolous is headlining. Last year it was Everclear and Yung Joc.
- If it’s over 60 degrees and sunny, basically the whole campus is out by the pond.
- There’s a midnight pancake breakfast during finals week, yummy.
- Be a follower! Bryantuniv had more than 50 Twitter posts last month.
- Ronzio’s Pizza in Hall 17 is open until 3 a.m. on weekends.
- The women at Bryant live in flip flops, until December, then they switch to Uggs®.
- You don’t have to work at PricewaterhouseCoopers or Fidelity when you graduate, we swear!
- There’s a CSI Bryant. (It’s the Center for Student Involvement.)
- It’s only 22 steps from Hall 6 to the Unistructure, so go ahead, hit the snooze button.
- DPS plays a mean game of softball.
- Starbucks coffee in the Rotunda is the best way to stay awake for an 8 a.m. class.
- Admitted student open house is April 4. And it never rains during open house! (OK, that’s a lie, but we have tons of umbrellas on hand just in case.)
