Todd Nerney Working the 11-7am shift @ Solitude Mountain Resort, fun day in kinderski Brighton Resort today! My new best friend Abigail (4 yrs old) didn't want to ski at all, the girls that I work with tried everything. She just wanted to hang with me, and only me.........Oh and my water is not frozen any more, still trying to get used to having running water again.

Up here, we refer to it simply as "Honeycomb Canyon". But, to skiers such as Jason West, it sure feels like a private resort. Over 400 acres of fresh snow and you could literally count on one hand the number of skiers out here - on the Saturday prior to Christmas! Solitude. ...
Solitude Mountain Resort T'was the Saturday before Christmas, and not even a dozen people were in Honeycomb. Ok, it doesn't rhyme. We were too busy skiing with Jason West, local pro skier and star of the new Powderwhore's movie, Flakes.
Mike Glider My wife and I tried out the Nordic Center today with our snowshoes. The guy at the desk told us the lake loop was open, as well as the cabin loop. The cabin loop was only packed to the Solitude trail on the Northern section of the loop. I broke trail on the rest of the loop. I won't go back to the Nordic Center.

Mike Glider I have a dumb question. What is "The Roundhouse," other than it is upstairs from the Sunshine Grill. I was at the Sunshine Grill today, but didn't check out the Roundhouse, or ask anyone there about it.
