Solstice Goji Bars New batch of Pad Thai bars is finished! We added tamarind, chives, and crushed red pepper; decreased agave and cayenne, added more peanut butter, and viola!

Anyone who wants to drop by the shop (the back door of 121 SW 3rd, Corvallis), we'll be here until at least 4pm today with samples! We'd love your feedback!

      Jessica, your sample is v1.0, this is the new and improved v2.0 (I'll drop a couple off at the Artisan's Market for you and Josh tomorrow). v3.0 will have more tamarind and just a hint of mint (dried, not extract)

Solstice Goji Bars was experimenting today. Really Weird Stuff: a savory crispy rice snack (you know the type, but we've been "cease and desisted" from saying so...)

Can you say: Pad Thai Bar? "Crispy Rice", Agave, Peanuts, ginger, toasted coconut, toasted sesame seeds, garlic, onion, carrots, cayenne, lime....

It's not finalized; needs ...a coupla more tweaks. But when it is... Best. Bar. Ever.

      Chris, same as Jason, drop by the bakery and I'll put one aside for you! It's not perfected, but it's definitely fun...

      The flavors slowly unfold, first the sweetness and peanut, the toasted sesame and coconut, followed by the cayenne cre...eping up and dancing on your taste buds, then the ginger and garlic with just a hint of sourness from the lime, and a nice long finish...

    Solstice Goji Bars Reiner and Quinn are heading to the First Alternative Co-op's 40th Anniversary party at the South Store, from 4 - 6 pm!

    We'll be sampling out crumble topping for frozen desserts (e.g., ice cream, frozen yogurt, and non-dairy frozen yumminess)

    We'll have our all-time favorite Dark Chocolate & Peanut Butter as well as two ...of our Rice Hippie Snacks: Cherry Dreamsicle and Chocolate Mint.

      To celebrate the selling of our downtown building -- the next step to outsourcing production of our bars -- we're throwing a Pizza Party for lunch this coming Thursday, 7/29/10. If you're a fan of Solstice Goji Bars, you're invited!

          Homemade rustic crust (with a touch of dark rye and whole wheat), homemade rustic sauce (with grated onions, red wine, lotsa garlic, extra virgin olive oil, organic tomatoes both diced and crushed, and a pinch of red pepper flakes), fresh m...ozzarella, organic basil and the option of shaved hot coppa rosettes. Baked for 2 1/2 minutes at a devilish 700 degrees, it's my all time favorite pizza.

          This will be a private party, but open to friends, family, customers, staff, ex-staff, and vendors. I know many of you won't be able to make it for geographic or temporal reasons, but know that you're in our thoughts. If you can make it, we'd love to see you!

          We'll kick off at ~11am and keep baking until we run out of ingredients or celebrants... Drop me a line w/any questions, and see you there!

      Solstice Goji Bars Fun demo at the OSU quad yesterday; many thanks to the OSU Management Club! We sampled out all 7 flavors of our bars (over 1500 bites in all!), talked to many students and staff, and even made a connection with the manager of the Memorial Union food operations. Did I mention that there was a band? Oh, yeah... Thanks to everyone who participated!

Let's start out with my absolute favorite way to eat one of our bars with chocolate in the middle: The Solstice Hot Fudge Sundae. 1) Heat one snack bar until the center chocolate layer melts into hot fudge sauce 2) Top with your favorite frozen dessert (I use non-fat frozen yogurt) 3) Drizzle with cho...colate sauce (I use "Holy Kakow" organic chocolate sauce) Enjoy!!!
