On Songdog:
Songdog are really all about the songs. Dark, literate songs sung from the prison-cell of the heart (from where you can sometimes see just as far as from the top of any mountain). Lyndon & Karl are from Blackwood, Wales, Dave from Dundee, Scotland. They self-released their debut album 'The Way Of The World', followed by 'Haiku' (originally released through Evangeline). Songdog signed to One Little Indian in 2005, releasing the critically-acclaimed 'The Time Of Summer Lightning' (2005) & 'A Wretched Sinner's Song' (2008). They are currently finishing a new album, A Life Eroding, due early 2010.
On Arch Garrison:
From the makers of the highly acclaimed North Sea Radio Orchestra comes the equally unique Arch Garrison - songs about vapour, roman roads, ditches and mounds accompanied by guitars, organs and an amount of 'oohs'. The debut album 'King of the Down' will be released in the new year on Double Six Records.
On Dom Coyote:
Combining dark folk with pulsing rhythms, spoken word and haunting melodies, Dom Coyote and Other Stories create a unique sound and live performance.
Presented by Union Chapel
Produced by Arctic Circle
supported by Arctic Circle Radio

Songdog got their mojo working

Songdog
Latest news...The band did a few songs at an open-mic night last night and loved the experience so much that when they were invited back to a full set next Wednesday (October 21st) they jumped at it --- they'll be performing with just acoustic guitar, mandolin and accordion. The Easycome Acoustic Club is run by the gre...at Andy Allen of the Hankdogs (Joe Boyd produced them and signed them to his label) and ex-the Professionals, the post-Pistols Cook and Jones band. The venue is upstairs at the Old Nun's Head, 15 Nunhead Green, London SE15 3QQ, the music starts at 9pm and Songdog will play a set sometime after 10pm.

It's a pity, because the venue was perfect and we were looking forward to it -- but we should have the next gig sorted soon.
Yes, Folk America has been excellent.
