getting the horn timber in place. 'The horn timber we had to cut in two
and put up in there because it wouldn’t fit in one piece,' said Mr.
Spurling. 'I got Richard Stanley to make that and we put it in. He is
pretty damn good at that.'"

Ralph W. Stanley, Inc. Another successful annual meeting of the Friendship Sloop Society! Jack Cronin gave Richard and I the Bancroft award this year, for "a contribution to the tradition of Friendship Sloops" -- the Westwind project. We'd like to thank the Society and invite everyone to the 50th Annual Homecoming and Races in Rockland Harbor next July!
