Sports & Cultural Exchange International - SCEI Yesterday was our last day in Ensenada. We packed up and went back to the orphanage, El Reino de Los Ninos (The Kid's Kingdom), to spend time playing with and loving on the children. The Lord consumed our hearts with His love and compassion for the helpless. It was an incredible blessing and priveledge to be at this p...lace. The children at the orphanage were so full of smiles and hugs and laughter and the joy of our Savior. They were so excited to recite and share their memorized Bible verses for us and to pray with us. We all prayed together for Christ to be glorified in each of those children's lives. We were humbled by their sincere prayers for us and our ministry. When it was time to leave, the children and our team embraced and shared tears. We will continue to pray for these children and this ministry are excited to be a small part of what God is doing at El Reino de Los Ninos and in Ensenada.

For lunch/dinner, we were blessed by Jayson's family's wonderful hospitality and delicious tamales. Thank you, thank you! Danielle and Meghan shared their testimonies, and our team gave Bibles and gifts to the family. We are praying for Jayson's family to draw near to Christ.

Next, we continued on to the border, where we were greeted with vendors of all sorts (Mexican flags, jackets, churros, blankets, fruit, etc.), before crossing the border back into the states. God gave us many opportunities to share Him during our time waiting in line at the border. Brian bought a jacket from a traveling vendor while we were waiting, and the man told him that he was working his way to God, going to church, doing good things, etc. Brian gave Him a tract to read and told Him how much God loved Him and that there was nothing he could do to earn his way to Heaven, but that God had already made the way, through Jesus Christ. The man smiled and thanked Brian as our van moved forward in the line towards the border.

Our team in two large vans made it safely across the border. Thank you Lord! We had devotions and spent the night at a hotel in San Diego. The team will be exploring San Diego area today, sharing God's love and will be flying home tomorrow (Friday). Thank you all for your prayers. God is so good! More pictures will be posted soon.

Sports & Cultural Exchange International - SCEI Today was a full day of tennis for the Lord. The morning began with breakfast, praise and worship and devotions. Next, the team hit the courts for the rest of the day. What great attitudes and hearts for the Lord this team from IWU has. The children, young adults, tennis pros and coaches from Ensenada joined us again f...or tennis matches and meals and fellowship. During our time here, we have built relationships and shared our culture, Christ. This evening, we had a delicious carne asada meal, prepared by Jayson's family. Then, our SCEI team gave gifts to the Ensenada team and thanked them for everything. Lisa shared her testimiony with the group, and Jayson shared God's plan of salvation and redemption in Christ. We finished the night with the movie, Fireproof. The Holy Spirit is at work, and we are praying for each individual in this tennis community to receive Christ.

Sports & Cultural Exchange International - SCEI Another amazing day that the Lord has made! We all ate breakfast
together, said goodbye to John as he is headed to the Ukraine, and shared in songs of
praise and a devotion from the Word with Jayson. Lisa and Joy shared their
testimonies of what God has done in their lives. Then, we hit the courts for stretching,
tennis dr...ills and exercises with Miguelangel and some of the children. By God’s
strength and might, we are all pressing forward for His glory. After a delicous
carne asada taco lunch, we headed to “La Bufadora,” one of the largest “Blowholes” in the the world. The beauty and wonder of God’s creation is
absolutely breathtaking! Our team walked through the shopping district of La
Bufadora and spent some time in the city of Ensenada, passing out gospel tracts to the vendors and people walking by, fellowshipping, and eating good local foods such as churros and coconuts. Thank
you Lord for the gift of time and rest and reflection on You and Your greatness
and faithfulness today. We are so excited for all that God has for us tomorrow! Please
continue to pray for the seeds that are being planted for Christ and the people
of Ensenada to
give their lives to Him.

Sports & Cultural Exchange International - SCEI This morning we woke up early and met for devotions at 7 am. We sang songs of worship and Caitlin and Brianna shared their testimonies. John led the devotions on a study about fulfilling the great commission and what God has mandated for us all to do after giving our lives to Christ. After devos, we ate and then left f...or an excruciatingly painful leg workout with the tennis pro. Later, we ate and shared the wordless bracelet with the tennis kids we have been playing with. After sharing the gospel we headed back out to play some singles tennis matches and lead a clinic with the younger children. This evening we picked up some pizza and drinks to take to a local orphanage, run by an amazing man who went on an SCEI ministry 30 years ago. We shared a meal and fun and the gospel through the wordless bracelet with the children at the orphanage. God really touched our hearts. We could feel the love of our Savior in this orphanage. God is moving in incredible ways. Please keep praying.

Sports & Cultural Exchange International - SCEI From beautiful rain yesterday to a perfect 67 degree sunny day today, God has given us a wonderful day. We woke up this morning and meet with Miguelangelo the head tennis coach and ate breakfast with part of the team. We got started right away with a warm up and then gave the 14 local kids, who came out to play with us..., a bible signed by our team. Next we were trained by one of the local tennis pros Antonio. Then we played many tennis matches and the highlight game was between the 2 tennis pros and our top 2 girls (Lisa & Eva). We put up a fight but lost. Next, we invited the other players to come watch a movie with us. Before the movie we praised our Lord in song, Courtney gave her testimony and then we watched Facing The Giants. Last, we ate carne asada tacos and praised our Lord for letting us serve him. We miss you all and please continue to pray for the hearts of the people in Ensanada, Mexico.
