The great Spreckels Organ in Balboa Park is the world's largest outdoor pipe organ. The Spreckels Organ Society, along with the City of San Diego, produces free year-round concerts on the Spreckels Organ by world-class organists.

Williams Plays, Volume 2 “Madness”.

It features the commissioned work of Karl Jenkins “The
Madness of Morion” and other works such as “The Dance of the Hours”
by Ponchielli; “Gymnopedie No 1” of Erik Satie; “Alligator
Crawl” by Fats Waller; “The Hebrew C...horus” by Verdi and the
famous “Toccata” by Widor.

Spreckels Organ Society The Spreckels Organ goes through a tuning once a year in Spring when the chamber temperature is about 70 degrees. The curator must choose weather conditions that provide a stable environment at the optimum temperature range. The rest of the year the organ is spot tuned to keep the reed pipes with the flue pipes. Knowing when not to tune is as important as knowing when to tune.
