Pre-season begins in September and continues to November. Our competitive season officially starts in March and ends at the end of April. During the off season, practice is three days a week with an additional practice once a week schedule on your own with the ball machine or another player. During the Spring semes...ter, practice begins in mid-January and is indoor, then transitions to outdoors when weather permits. Once the competitive season begins, practice continues as time permits. Because the Spring is our busiest time, we suggest our student-athletes schedule their toughest classes for the Fall semester. Our sport specific training focuses primarily on real play with a secondary focus on drills. Players practice singles and doubles play in a working environment. Players have access to the ball machine for individual skill work as well as access to other resources to enhance each player. In addition to sport specific training with Coach Debbie and teammates, the EU tennis program enjoys the advantages of strength and conditioning training and sports psychology experts. EU Tennis also competes with other teams in NCAA and NAIA around the country. This Spring Break we will be heading to Orlando, Florida and are scheduled to play a variety of division schools from arount the country. We also are planning in the future to participate in international tournaments that will also include ministry opportunities for the team.

Evangel University Athletics competes in the NAIA and Heart of America Athletic Conference in 13 varsity sports. The Assemblies of God affiliated university is located in Springfield, Missouri.
