Patrick Brungardt Like Scott McCaskill and Donald Deal, watching "Emergency!" as a kid helped lead me to my current career. I ended up getting my EMT-Basic in my late 20's, and am now a Communicatiosn Specialist in Helicopter EMS. I may never be a paramedic, but I've got a career now that I love, and "Emergency!" helped set me on that path.
Michael Yet another career firefighter/paramedic thanks to Johnny, Roy, Marco, Chet, Capt. Hank, Kel, Joe and Dix. But it was Sam the dispatcher who got me hooked up as a fire dispatcher before I was promoted onto shift. His style, tempo and smoothness set the standard. I just wish our dispatchers of today would listen and mimic Sam...

Donald Reid Deal Like Scott McCaskill, I followed the same path. When we went to work EMERGENCY was still on as a first run show. We use to sit in the day room and watch, called it watching training. I still remember the old swab Dodges that looked like 51 in the front, and the old APCOR radios like theirs in the field. Ahhh for the old days.

Scott McCaskill Thanks Johnny and Roy! Because of EMERGENCY, I have spent the last 34 years "on the job" as a Rescue-Firefighter and Paramedic . It's been a great ride. Hard to believe that I was that impressionable as a teenager.
John Sandlin nothing like old tv shows again
Barbara Dotts I have a special needs 12 year old son and Emergency Series is his life. I am trying to find places I can buy Squad 51 items. Any ideas? He is non-verbal but is able to say "ROY" - Someone asked me if he could call 911. I said, yes, but he would probably ask for ROY! Please help!
