Stacy Stewart Smith #81. Day Twenty Four December 7, 2009-The second layer of glaze was applied to the right hand. I was tempted to work on the ring but I think that it would be better to wait until I have applied another glaze or two to the hand first.
Stacy Stewart Smith #80. Day Twenty Three December 6, 2009-The second layer of glaze was applied to the left hand. I like the glazing technique over a vivid underpainting because it affords you the ability to allow the eye to blend color and uses the oil paint to its premier characteristic: translucency. I am especially proud of the nail...s in this portion of the painting. It is still unfinished though.
