Stand in the Gap encourages and trains churches to equip their members to reach out to widows, the fatherless, the disabled, the elderly, the lonely, prisoners, the poor. To take a God-dependent, long term, relationship-based approach with our neighbors in serious need.

Stand in the Gap America Pastor Jeff’s Perspective on SITG: I am seeing leaders emerge from my community; it’s very moving. Watching God fulfilling needs. One of our neighbors is a mom with 3 kids. She has become an engine of evangelism in our church. People feel they want to be a part because they have seen change. Some things Jesus asks us t...o do are pretty outrageous. Well the SITG process is ‘in-reach’ as well as ‘out-reach’. It’s great!

Stand in the Gap America Pastor Dave’s perspective on SITG: I’m able to watch the members from my church get excited. People who are not natural leaders are stepping forward and leading. SITG has done a great job of identifying the principles for change and makes them accessible to everyone. It’s a phenomenal means for helping broken people to heal and step out of old behaviors.

Stand in the Gap America Our Women in Transition program is really making an impact at the Tulsa County Jail. Says Julie who is incarcerated and in the program, “I believe this class is going to save my life. I am learning to live sober, safe and sane in the free world; something I have never done. I am learning the tools to do so. Thank God for this class”.

Stand in the Gap America Great quotes from Andrew Arndt, Staff Pastor Santuary Church: sitgm is really not a program at all it's a method for you to train your people to relate to one another in ways that give life...its what God calls us to do...and results in the work of pastoral care being shared by the congregation. Check out the video at sitgm.org
