Stand Up For Veterans is a national grassroots initiative of the 1.3 million-member Disabled American Veterans. www.dav.org

We hope to generate greater awareness and support for providing comprehensive health care assistance to disabled veterans injured in the recent wars in Iraq and Afghanistan, as well as those from prior eras and conflicts.

Some of the major areas requiring legislative action include:
* improvements in the diagnosis and treatment of traumatic brain injuries
* properly screening and treating mental health problems
* new support for family caregivers
* assured VA funding for our veterans
