Elizabeth - eight years?!?! That's fabulous! Keep it up, girl. So would it be helpful for you if I start adding the Cisco blood drive info to Facebook?

SBC's blood drives at Cisco are so convenient for me. I've been donating to SBC for almost eight years and will continue to do so for as long as I can. I'll be at the next blood drive on April 29th! :)

So happy to hear about everyone's good experiences at SBC! To answer Sylvia's question about coming back to SJSU: the president of SJSU decided to ban blood drives on campus. Here's a link to his statement: http://www.sjsu.edu/president/communications/blooddrives/letter.html
And here's a link to our response: http://bloodcenter.stanford.edu/press/releases/2008_SJSU.html
High school and college students make up about 20% of the blood we collect—if other schools take on this mentality, we (and ultimately, the community) will potentially be devastated. We know that students have a lot of demands on their time, so that's why it's important that we're able to come onto campus—it makes it a lot easier for anyone who wants to give. Maybe you could write President Don Kassing a letter, letting him know that you want him to allow blood drives on campus again.
