Statewide Poverty Action Network Poverty Action member Jeanne Henderson did an amazing job sharing her story at the Women's Funding Alliance breakfast last week. Jeanne talked about getting caught in the cycle of debt from payday loans and how Poverty Action helped her to take action and get a law passed to give people more time and options when repaying their loans. Great job, Jeanne!

Statewide Poverty Action Network Thank you so much to everyone who volunteered for our 2009 Vote for a Change Campaign! With your help, we made over 4000 phone calls, canvassed almost 1000 doors, reached out to voters at over 25 community events across the state, helped defeat Tim Eyman’s devastating I-1033, and are on our way to approving Ref. 71.
