If you want to see something mind-blowing find "Michael Jackson - Live from Bucharest". It's amazing as far as concerts go... and terrifying as you realize that it's not a music concert but a gathering of worshipers.

I just saw it a few days ago. I've never really been a fan, as such, but *what an amazing performer*! His dancing, his vocal control, et all. Amazing to see that he can do those complicated dances *while* singing those complicated parts. Did you notice how he "worked" the headset microphone dynamics? I've never seen anyone do that before. So, yeah, I agree, Steve. Musical genius, personal passion, attention to detail, humility, vision. This guy was the real deal.

CBC's Mary O'Connell onced asked Rabbi Hertzberg how he made sense of the fact that Eichmann was once a simple postal clerk. Hertzberg responded, "...there is an awful lot more of evil inherent in any of us than we know. We can be corrupted very quickly by power over other people's lives. And, therefore, the fight betw...een good and evil continues, not between us and other people, but within ourselves."Read More

So many in this world who are born to loving mothers, and with friends and family who love them, choose evil over good.

Our collective inborn knowledge of good and evil dates back to Genesis; some would say the result of Adam & Eve trying to "be like God". No surprising to me that many since (including Eichmann) have taken this idea too far...

I believe the question of Eichmann's employment was irrelevant. Even evil-doers have to put bread on the table.

LOLOLOL... ok, my bad! I had Nov 8th on my calendar.
Well THAT explains it! I wondered how come there was no one else who mentioned it... so I was trying to be all cryptic and secretive and stuff, just in case. Oh well, what can I say? Glad you had a good one last year!
*ahem*... (stage note: Heidi discretely adds another checkmark on her long list of "blonde moments"...)

Hi Steve, I was going to sing one of your songs at church which meant a lot to me when I was going through some hard times, the song is "Remember Me".
Myself & a guy from my worship were practicing the song, I chickened out and lost my confidence. This song means so much too me. I am praying for courage to sing it, but ...I think I will break down in the middle of the song.
Any advice?
btw thank you for your music, it has encouraged me through the years.

No advice - I'm a weeper myself and often succumb to tears when singing songs that are that close to my wounds.

Sing it with tears.

Enjoy your travel home and greetings to all WINNIPEG people...guess they'd be Walter's people, since I'm from Vernon BC. originally. :) Toronto our home now. How I miss the people in BC. Much friendlier...guess Toronto should take an example. Oh, we do have some great people in Toronto too but out WEST everyone talks to everyone including (strangers).
Blessings.

I was there as part of the Catholic contingent. It strikes me that that show must have been something like purgatory. Being so close to God's beauty and the heavenly choirs (your music), while willingly suffering for our own imperfections (our bodies, at least not mine, don't fit in those pews) to be nearer God's glory.

Kind of like what I once heard Steve...in the same building was a Tim Horton's right next to a Funeral home. Or from what I remember in Winnipeg is a casino on the corner of Broadway and Main (or in that vicinity) on the main floor and the Addictions Foundation just above it on the second floor! Go figure!

Hello.
My name is Elisabeth.
You are such an inspiration to me. When I was seven I was taken from a abusive home and put with a foster family who works at the harbourfront jubilee theater in summerside prince Edward island.
I was in a place where music was not allowed so I had never heard music before in my life. You ...were the first person I ever heard. My first song I ever listened to was "wings of an eagle". From the moment I heard your music I feel in love. It was with me through everything. Every time I moved every time something happened happy or not I turned to your music. Your came to the jubilee theatre every year around Christmas and every year I was there. I got to meet you a couple times. That was one of my happiest moments. You are a hero to me.
So I want to thank you. Because with out even knowing it you saved a little girls life. Your music kept me strong through every single hard moment god put before me. Your music helped me not resent god for the pain I felt. You music is wonderful.
Thank you so much!! I am forever grateful.
