Lauren

Lauren I am so amazed to find this on FB. Milton Caniff hung out at Syracuse University when my grandfather was the ROTC instructor. I am fortunate enough to have a sketch of Steve Canyon dedicated to my grandfather.

Christian Bryan Chopped this out of a seat belt safety film.

Watch for F-101s, F-102s, F9F Cougars, TV-2 Seastar, and one F7U Cutlass!

RARE footage of The Blue Angels in their F-11s, which they flew from 1957, to 1969. Very fond memories of being at the Moffett Field Airshow during the mid/late '60s, as a young lad, and watching them perform. ...

Ron Evry

Ron Evry This was done about a decade ago for the NCS web site. Reposted it here just for fun...

It may seem strange that the NCS's first Cartoonist of the Year award for 1946 was given for the creation of a strip that didn't officially appear in newspapers until 1947, but perhaps it is fitting testimonial ...

James M. Busby

James M. Busby Oh, yeah- using the Leonard Nimoy's screen as a guide- you can speculate that Steve Canyon's "Big Mountain" air Force Base is near the town of Tulare, CA.
As I have been in Tulare, there is a small airport at the Highway with a WW II B-17 Flying Fortress dedicated to those pilots and a F-4 Phantom II dedicated to the V...ietnam veterans.
Makes us S.C. fans wonder .......???

James. note the plaque on the first link, stating that Major General Preston flew that B-17 to Tulare on August 5, 1958...almost exactly a month before the premiere of Steve Canyon!
