Dustin Little Certain moments will always make your "life puzzle". 16 years later no one in my life has taught me more with less than Steve Hoernemann. From works to actions, it never failed to agitate me, but in retrospect teach me so much. If you are his student now, pay attention. If you are a "Hoernemann Alumni" you know wha...t I am talking about. I hope to see you soon my friend, if you are in Phoenix, drop a note.

Michael McGlothlin We should start a Story thread.......
Scariest moment of my life .... in the band shell at camp "Limberlost" when the stands parted like the red sea, and H quickly appearsed VERY close my freshman face; "Let me catch you talking again, and we march one less mellophone". Silly little life changing moment. Glad it ha...ppened when I was a freshman so I had 4 whole years to get right with the man. A true inspiration, and the reason I tell all my students "What's right is never easy, and what's easy is rarely right".

Curtis Doering It is amazing to realize one man has impacted so many of our lifes. Mr "H" will always have a special place in my heart as he had a big role in who I have become as a person. My ethics and values developed from those years as a "Marching Band Cougar" from 1972 - 1976. Thanks to Mr "H" and my fellows band members for ...all of the fond memories on and off the field.

Brian Lewis Cosmic man..... isn't it great to see the number of young people (and now older people) you have influenced throughout your career. Whether it was getting a megaphone slammed down on my drum at band camp, or me and my pals sharing dilly bars with you in Dundee, THESE are those fondest memories.

Emily Robinson I loved IMC because of Mr. Hoernemann. We had a running joke about a pizza delivery, and he even ordered pizza for me and a few friends, even though there was no pizza places anywhere near camp! I cherish the baton he gave me and am now a music teacher as well!

Jenna Lund Steve Hoernemann was the inspiration of my life every summer at International Music Camp in the Peace Gardens...I still think of him to this day. Last time I spoke to him, he called me up during my junior of college when this boy dumped me and I was so heart broken...I miss him!!! I remember it was so close to final...s week and he helped me regain some of my focus : ) He is such a good role model to everyone..

Jim Cummings

Jim Cummings H was by far the best teacher in my life. His passion, drive set an example for all of us (along with his special kind of motivation) to make us the best that we can be. I don't know what else I can say about him that has not been said already. Some of the best times in my life were spent in band.
