My favorite band releases a holiday single each year. I thought it'd be fun this year to do the same...except unlike Pearl Jam, this is actually available BEFORE Christmas!

So, enjoy a free download of an original advent song called Promised Savior, and read about it's inspiration below:

"I tired ...& failed to write a Christmas song for a while until late 2007 when I found inspiration in our church bulletin. It was advent season, and that week a family was lighting the candle of hope while the congregation responded “Come, Lord Jesus, Promised Savior”. Calling Jesus the “Promised Savior” made me think of the Bible as a whole…from the prophesies in the Old Testament, to His birth in the Gospels, to the revelations of His coming again. I was so inspired that I went home and wrote this song in one sitting around a simple acoustic guitar hook. I purposefully wrote the line “there’s room in this heart for You” as a play on the words from Luke 2:7 ('there was no room for them in the inn'). Sometimes I feel distant from God or stagnant in my faith, so I wrote the 3rd verse as a plea to bring back that fire that I first felt when I asked Jesus to come into my heart as my Savior"
