Yesterday I went to the MPA Regional Awards and Christmas Dinner at The Wellow Golf Club in Romsey.I had a great afternoon and evening and was thrilled to find out that I had won three awards :Portrait Photographer of the Year 2009Under 5's Photographer of the Year 2009 Pictorial Photographer of the Year 2009

Lisa Beaney Photography International Aperture Awards - Silver !
I have just found out that I have received a Silver in "People & Portraits" in the International Aperture Awards for my photo of a beggar... These awards are held annually and entries are received from photographers all over the world.

Lisa Beaney Photography "Spud"
With the sun still out (and the rain staying away !) I spent part of this mornings portrait session outside with "Spud" & "Spike", two gorgeous sisters.This is just one photo from this mornings session, I think children look wonderful wrapped up and Spud certainly wasn't going to get cold !

Lisa Beaney Photography Gold Award for Fine Art and Silver for Pictorial !
It has been quite a good month for Awards ! I have also been awarded a Gold for this image in Fine Art and a Silver for the photo of the Beggar in the Pictorial Category. I was walking back to the car when I saw her, at first I wasn't sure if she was praying or begging.......

Lisa Beaney Photography Canon 1d MkIV
I went to the launch event for the Canon 1d MkIV at Park Cameras yesterday. After a talk by Canon on the technology inside we all got to have a play with them. At £4,499 the camera body is not cheap.One things that Canon has improved is the autofocus system....
