Berkshire Theatre Festival

Berkshire Theatre Festival Thanks to all for a fantastic 2009. While we gear up for A Christmas Carol, we're also planning next season. While we're really excited about what we have on tap for next year, I thought it'd be fun to hear what you would most like to see on a BTF stage. So, if you could have your dream show staged at BTF, what would it be?

Both parts would be so fantastic, don't you think? It's still such a powerful and relevant piece.

Something funny - The Neil Simon works well - I have enjoyed the Shaw, Ibsen, - Anything that Director Anders Cato does is usually a great sucess - He has done some excellent work there and we always love it. Just need to work so you touch upon something funny, intelligent, absurd, classic, musical, and dramatic. That's the key element that will work all the time. Thanks for reading this. T.

Ghosts by Henrik Ibsen
August 12-29
Directed by Anders Cato
With David Adkins, Mia Dillon, Jonathan Epstein, Tara Franklin and Randy Harrison

A woman struggles to keep several terrible family secrets, the implication of which are only worsened by a puritanical Pastor, a lascivious son, and her own guilt-ridden, well hid...den past. Full of dark symbols, Ghosts exemplifies Henrik Ibsens uncanny ability to overturn Victorian social values by using them as the damning elements in his work. Now, BTF favorites Director Anders Cato and Dramaturg James Leverett present a brand new adaptation of this classic of the theatre.
