EMS - Electroacoustic Music in Sweden
Since 1964, EMS is the centre for Swedish electroacoustic music. It is run as an independent part of Rikskonserter (Swedish Concerts) and is led by the studio director, Mats Lindström, who is assisted by an artistic board consisting of four composers.
EMS’ aim is to support artistic development within electroacoustic mu...sic and its integration within other artistic areas. EMS represents electroacoustic music from Sweden in various international contexts and acts as an informer, both nationally and internationally.
Besides making professional studios available for electroacoustic music, EMS runs courses, initiates seminars, produces concerts and festivals, releases CDs, and commissions new works. EMS also runs outreach projects of general interest which aim for all age groups from the age of 4 and upwards.Read More
