The deadline has passed to submit official comments to the CRTC, but the fight to stop the Big Networks’ new TV Tax isn’t over yet!
On November 16 the CRTC will begin proceedings to review the Big Networks’ proposal to impose a TV Tax that will add up to $10 to every cable and satellite subscriber’s TV bill. The Big Ne...tworks are using unprecedented efforts to ensure they get your money.
So far, tens of thousands of Canadians across the country have written letters to the CRTC asking that they stop this TV Tax. But we can’t stop there!
As part of our presentation to the CRTC, cable and satellite providers would like to submit a petition telling the CRTC that Canadians do not want to hand out a $450 million bailout to companies that posted $400 million in operating profits last year alone.
Please sign our petition to send the CRTC a clear message: Enough is enough!

La date limite pour soumettre des commentaires officiels au CRTC s'est écoulée, mais la campagne pour arrêter la nouvelle taxe TV des grands réseaux n’est pas finie!
Le 16 novembre, il y aura des procès au CRTC qui vont examiner la proposition des grands réseaux d'imposer une taxe TV qui ajoutera jusqu'à 10 $ par mois à... la facture de chaque abonné de câble et de satellite. Les grands réseaux se servent d'efforts sans précédent pour s’assurer qu'ils obtiennent votre argent.
Jusqu'ici, des dizaines de milliers de Canadiens ont écrit des lettres au CRTC, demandant qu'ils arrêtent la taxe TV. Mais n’arrêtons pas là !
Dans le cadre de notre présentation au CRTC, les distributeurs de câble et de satellite souhaitent circuler une pétition qui dit au CRTC que les Canadiens ne veulent pas un plan de sauvetage de 450 millions $ pour les grands réseaux qui ont enregistré des profits d’exploitation de 400 millions $ l’an dernier.
