Student Life @ JHU To celebrate the holiday season, lampposts on the campus quadrangles are wrapped in white lights. Every year in December, the Hopkins community gathers on the steps of the MSE Library (Gilman side) to participate in the lighting ceremony, known as Lighting of the Quads. This year marks the 5th year of this favorite Hop...kins tradition, taking place on Wednesday at 9:00pm. Enjoy free hot chocolate, hot cider, cookies, and donuts, along with holiday musical performances by the JHU Pep Band, All Nighters, Sirens, and Vocal Cords. Help countdown to the lights, as President Daniels flips the ceremonial switch, illuminating the campus in white lights. Rain date: Monday, December 7th.
