The one girl that didn't who didn't openly except Christ during the week-end....On Sat. about half-way through the meeting, she came! Thank God He never gives up on us!
Marie Oprah Winfrey has sent a crew out the Rockville Prison to the interview that ladies for her show. Sat. we went back to set up the prayer and share groups, 2 of the girls interviewed by her show "just so happen" to have just gone thru this Kairos week-end and was there on Sat. They both told me about their experience. A...fter telling the crew about their story and why they ended up in prison, they were asked, "Was there something good that came out of your time in prison?" They both said "Kairos" and told them about all about their week-end!!! I can't wait to what God will do with this!! :)

Marie I can't tell you what a blessing it was to “go in” with the prayers and support of my church family. Thank-you and God Bless you and all that concerns you! There are week-ends coming up in the Spring for both men (Carlisle) and women (Rockville) and they're always in need of support. By the way....if you've seen Lock-Up, this is nothing like that. :)
Marie I've tried to come up with the words to describe what this week-end was like but I'm speechless at the power of His love and how it changed us all! We went in to serve, love and listen and somewhere in that time they were freed from the enemy to the message of His love for them! Not one of their crimes, or weight of th...eir sins kept Him from reaching out and touching them with His love, mercy and forgiveness. As a witness to this miracle I'm left even more convinced of the truth of the gospel and it's promises.....
Marie Nothing shall separate us from the love of God. He met them where they were and closed the gap! The proof of that divine exchange was evident on their faces, and in their body language and how they related to each other! 42 offenders participated and 41 openly confessed that they had given their hearts to the Lord! You... all were a part of it! Before we went in we offered all the gifts of Agape (from the outside community) up to Him to use for His glory and He did and they were blessed by them! It took 15 people to carry in the prayer chain~it was still a trick to keep it off the ground! (there were 2 chains, one went out on Sat. then one on Sun.) We can't know what all He did with those cookies because the whole facility had cookies, the entire week-end! A few of the girls did share their stories of how the love and prayer put in those cookies dissolved the hate between them and their enemies. Amazing
Marie Sometime on Friday I was casually talking with the guard in charge. I met him on the first week-end I did. By the way he acted, on week-end #9, my impression was that he thought we were just another group of church ladies causing him a lot of work. Here it is week-end #11 and he can't do enough for us! The thoughts of ...how he had changed was running through my mind as he says, “We love when you ladies come. You can tell it's making a difference and that makes my job easier.” God is so Good! He's moving in this prison and touching more than the offenders! We go back in on Saturday to get them set up for there Prayer and Share groups. Once a week, they'll start gathering to encourage and support each other in their new found faith and to build community. Then once a month, they can gather for a reunion with all Kairos graduates~ their new Sisters In Christ! So this week-end is just the beginning for them!
Sue Chagnon Please pray for Pastor Fran Leeman and his wife Linda. Her mother passed away yesterday. Fran is the director of New Life for Haiti. Also continue to pray for the New Life for Haiti Celebration. The enemy really hates when he sees God's people joining together to do His work!!! Ah but we know the end of the story......we know victory is ours! Thank you for your prayers!

Getting ready to leave this morning for Rockville! Please continue to hold us in your prayers. The enemy has been really busy and has put this team thru trails and sickness like never before. We are taking that as a sign that we are in for some week-end! Can't wait to tell you all about it! Thank-you for everything!

Our powerful and awesome God showed up and did what only he can do at the mens Kairos #3! I went to their closing~ we heard their testimonies about how the love of Christ touched them through the actions of their "Christian Brothers"...what it meant to them and what they're going to do with it. 2 men converted to Chris...tianity, another man is going to surrender to the call on his life and become the preacher that he knows God wants him to be... some found peace, some found love for the first time in their lives...it went on and on...lots of praises to God, and a lot of tears! The team will go back on Saturday to set up and start the prayer and share groups to help them build a Christian community based on what they've just experienced!

Stephanie Sexton Susie Bennett is requesting prayer. She is to have a needle biopsy of her left breast this morning. She has a pacemaker on this side. She also has two clusters of calcification near her chest wall. She is at Vanderbilt Women's Center in Nashville, Tn.
