Come to our 3rd Birthday Party! Thursday May 14 at 'sNice Brooklyn!! http://www.facebook.com/event.php?eid=87 587312670

SuperVegan
We're celebrating our third birthday on Thursday, May 14, 2009 at 'sNice Brooklyn, from 6:30-10pm.
The afterparty will be at vegan-owned bar Lucky 13, located on 13th Street between 5th and 6th Avenues (also in Park Slope). We'll head over there after 'sNice closes at 10pm.
There may be giveaways. There may be a dunking ...booth. But for now what we know for sure is there will be a giant birthday cake and a keg of beer. Beer and cake will be free, but you can also buy other goodies from 'sNice's regular menu.
'sNice is located at the corner of Fifth Avenue and Third Street in Park Slope. Their yard is open now, so we can be outdoors as well as inside.
We hope all of our readers, friends, and fans will come celebrate with Team SuperVegan!
featuring your best friends free beer and free cake

**UPDATE** - We will be joined by a Sarah Palin pinata!!!
Join SuperVegan in Fort Greene, Brooklyn for our Election Night Party as we keep a watchful eye on the results while downing discounted drink specials like Vegan White Russians, Chocolate Hawaiians, and Joe The Plumber Cocktails and munching on yummy vegan grub a...t Red Bamboo Brooklyn on Tue, November 4th from 8pm on.
To accomodate more peeps and after lessons learned from our awesome debate watch party, Red Bamboo Brooklyn's first floor will serve dinner from 8pm through midnight and the second floor and patio will be cleared of tables for folks to drink and hang out until the wee hours. We'll also have DJs on the second floor throughout the night!!!
While most eyes around the world are on the Obama vs. Palin race, animal advocates also have the following candidate races and ballot measures to look out for:
New York State animal protection leaders like Frank Padavan, Liz Krueger, Deborah Glick, and Linda Rosenthal.
California - YES on Prop 2 to stop cruelty to farm animals
Massachusetts - YES on Question 3 to phase out dog racing
Arizona - NO on Prop 105 which would prevent future animal protection initiatives
Oklahoma - NO on State Question 742 which would affect wildlife protection measures
Oregon - NO on Measure 64 which would harm nonprofits like the Oregon Humane Society
And finally, if you think Sarah Palin is scary, wait until you learn about Michigan's Rep. Joe Knollenberg. To learn, more visit the Humane Society Legislative Fund folks.
With Vegan White Russians, Chocolate Hawaiians, and Joe The Plumber Cocktails!
Time:8:00PM Tuesday, November 4th
Location:Red Bamboo Brooklyn

Join SuperVegan for our Presidential Debate Watch Party to cheer/sneer at the final showdown between "that one" and some old guy at Red Bamboo Brooklyn in Fort Greene next Wed, Oct 15th at 7:30pm (debate starts at 9pm)!
Where else would you be able to enjoy a full bar and vegan goodies like Red Bamboo Brooklyn's famous ...creole soul chicken, buffalo bbq wings, and cajun fried shrimp while you cringe in anger and barfiness while that man with the not so steady hand from the Palin '08 ticket calls you one of his "friends"?
Since our trust funds and stock portfolios have plummeted thanks to 8 years of dog-gone-it, mavericky Wall Street deregulations, this is a pay your own way party with no subsidies or bailouts.
However, in honor of (wink, wink) the Republican's 2008 presidential/vice presidential nominee, who can see Russia from her igloo in Alaska (!!!), Red Bamboo Brooklyn will be offering discounted Vegan White Russians for just $5!!
Since there are indeed such things as Republican vegans (just like there are Republican gays), we welcome folks of all stripes - and even if you come cheering for Palin '08, we promise we will show you more mercy and compassion than what Palin has shown to Alaska's wolves, polar bears, and other animals.
Non-vegans are also quite welcome!

SuperVegan is thrilled to be publishing Tod Emko's "Blog of a Vegan Pirate." Tod took to the seas in February-March of 2008 to battle illegal Japanese whaling as part of Operation Migaloo, Sea Shepherd's Antarctic anti-whaling campaign...
