I talked to a business yesterday, a former underwriter of WYPR. They commented how many of the local business underwriters pulled their underwriting from WYPR. I encourage you to *politely* and *respectfully* urge remaining underwriters to do the same.
I noticed also that in response to Marc's show getting a Peabody Tony Brandon recorded and is running on WYPR, essentially, many people at WYPR received Peabody awards, as if to say, it's nothing special that Marc's show received a Peabody. ...other than it undermines Tony's stated reason for firing Marc.

Regarding being moved, I think the only person who wasn't moved may have been Tony. As he is too attached to believing his decision has merit and has latched on to the view that supports his reality. He is living in a delusion.
I think the best comment was the filmaker's, that we must provide the space for the Board and management to save face in the face of reversing their decision. Still, we must not release pressure on the station.

Here's an upsetting twist on the story of yesterday. Today Tony Brandon dismissed the CAB meeting of last night as not representative of the WYPR listener audience, either out of denial or to intentionally marginalize the voice of last night.
One person commented last night that each person who actually showed up was reasonably representative of 100 people who held the same view. It's clear that Mr Brandon does not recognize the voice of the public so I must agree with another person's suggestion that the most effective tool is a boycott of WYPR underwriters.
The problem is their list of underwriters on their website is not up to date. My company has not been an underwriter for a while (over a year now) yet it is still listed as an underwriter. I guess the work can be done to vet the list and find the current underwriters. I will start calling the underwriter list tomorrow.

The CAB meeting in Meyerhoff Auditorium at the BMA was packed with supporters of Marc Steiner. The sole agenda item was Marc.
I arrived 5 minutes late. Over 70 people signed up to speak. The speakers included, listeners, prior guests, prominent member of the community, and some of the more frequent callers. There were many good points made. Some people sited parts of the charter of WYPR and the law of why the CAB exists. Many people called a change in ether management or the board. Tom Kiefaber pointed out that if the Board is under the misguided opinion that the audience that night was not representative of the greater public, recently Marc and Valerie were at the Senator theater and he wanted to acknowledge them to the pact theater. He didn't get past Marc's first name before the whole audience broke out in cheers and applause.
In attendance within the audience was Marc, and Valerie, as well as Tony Brandon and Andy Bienstock.
I'll write more later.

Anne, the only link I know of that mentions the Arbitron ratings is in an article from the Sun, second web page.

Laura Vozzella reports that: Leonard Kerpelman told The Sun's Jill Rosen that he'd like to offer Steiner his entire three-hour public access TV slot.

In my view that's not a better offer. Radio is compatible with driving and working while you listen. TV is not.

In the spirit of Bluehouse's action I would encourage people to contact corporate sponsors they patronize and ask them if they will be continuing their underwriting, or if they would be expressing concern over the station's decision.
I do not want to see WYPR implode. After all, the employees of the station would suffer most and most immediately. Also WYPR may be considered the trust of the guarantors by themselves, but the point is to assert it is a public trust.
