We need to gather together as many wet-suited board waving winsurfers, surfers, kitesurfers and bodyboarders, in fact everyone who loves our oceans, as we can for The Wave,a huge march in London on Dec 5th organised by the Stop Climate Chaos coalition (SCC).
Climate change could ruin everything for windsurfers, kitesurf...ers andbodyboarders. Whether it's low tide reefs no longer working because of sea level rises, water quality worsening because of increased rainfall, storm tracks changing or the wrong types of waves hitting our shores... the list goes on, and it's obvious that climate change may have a very negative impact on the UK's waves.
SAS are long standing members of the SCC, which represents over 100 major charities, NGO's, trade unions and other organisations working together to ensure real action is taken to prevent further drastic climate change. SCC are organising a huge march in London on Saturday 5th December. They are calling this The Wave, so they have been asking us to get even more involved for obvious reasons.
Please email ruth@sas.org.uk or call 01872 555 950 if you are interested in joining us on the day. It will be a fun day out and put you right on the frontline of campaigns with us!Read More
