Company Overview:
We help tribal peoples defend their lives, protect their lands and determine their own futures.
Mission:

There are over 150 million tribal people worldwide, and almost all suffer relentless persecution.

Government oppression and corporate exploitation tear tribal peoples from their lands and threaten their very existence.

Since 1969, Survival has persuaded governments to recognise tribal land ownership, forced companies to abandon harmful projects on tribal land and helped draw the eyes of the world to the issues tribal people face. But there is much still to do!

Become a Fan of Survival, tell your friends with 'Share +' and spread the word in any way you can. Add your voice to the growing movement for tribal peoples.

this has really gave me hope again in my genaration, i thought it had gone to hell in primart and the only issue floating through peoples minds were shoes and cars and shinny things. this is a real serious issue and im glad people actually realise whats going on under are noses. these people have lived hand in hand with nature for there entire lives and its a shame we all could look at them with respect in stead of destroying there homes and there peace for profit and greed

this is really wonderful that people actually care about what happens to all the native peoples in the world. It's terrible what happens to them when the different governments kick them out of their homeland for development. We should all take a lesson from them and learn to share what's available to us instead of taking everything for ourselves.

A Message from the HEART of the WORLD

' Kogi, Arhuaco, Wiwa, and Kankuamo indigenous groups from the Sierra Nevada of Santa Marta, Colombia.

INDIGENOUS PEOPLES FROM COLOMBIA

The Sacred Message

“The sacred territory of the Sierra Nevada since time immemorial has been the foundation of our culture. It contains the laws and the symbols that determine our way of thinking and our identity. We should all comply with these norms and laws to safeguard the Universe. The territory must be sustained through daily activities
that allow the culture and all its components to reproduce. In this sense the concept of ancestral owners of the territory is based on knowledge about everything that lives in the territory; in other words, nature teaches us how to live
