The Improper Life of Bezellia Grove (August 2010) is in production. That means in addition to proofing pages, planning a book tour, etc. etc., it’s time for a new headshot. And man was I ready!

Susan Gregg Gilmore Home from Paola and Garnett, Kansas. Now have traveled about 8,000 miles this summer for paperback edition of Looking for Salvation at the Dairy Queen.

Made a lot of great friends in Kansas and can't wait to go back next summer when second book is released.

Again, thank you Helen Norman, Garnett DQ owner, for making it all happen!

Susan Gregg Gilmore Catherine Grace said herself that her family believed that the tomato was a symbol of a person's God-fearing commitment to biblical and civic values. Well, I have to admit that in my own family the search for the perfect tomato has always been as much sport as mission.

Here are some of my precious heirlooms just waiting to be sliced!

That's great, Susan, if your family likes tomatoes. If not then does that make a family heathens? ;-)

There is nothing better tasting than a homegrown tomato, the taste is all there:), unlike the supermarket (non-organic) tomatoes that don't have any flavor at all.

Home from Cincinnati! Staff and patrons at Joseph-Beth were wonderful. Particularly appreciated the large J-B t-shirt. Left my suitcase at home so needed something for sleeping. Went to my first Reds' game. My dad and I spent a lot of time together when I was young watching The Big Red Machine - felt like a pilgri...mage of sorts. Perfect evening. Beautiful weather, great park, peanuts, cold beer & the Reds won!Read More

Susan Gregg Gilmore Finally home for a couple of weeks! But so much to share. Check out some of these trip photos and then visit my blog.

This is Sam from Aaron's Books in Lititz, PA with the BOOKING MAMA herself!!! Jenny came for the reading and brought her mom and sister and baby nephew.

It was a real highlight of the trip -- hospitality overwhelming -- Sam's mama is Southern -- figures!
