Switch 1197 is owned and operated by Brisbane Interactive Radio Group Inc. (BIRGI) and was founded in 1999.

We are a non-profit organisation, that provides a community radio service to the Brisbane metro region. Switch solely relys on Sponsorships, Memberships and the generosity of the Brisbane community to keep us going.

Our aim is to offer the youth of Brisbane an opportunity to get into the radio industry, as well as keeping in touch with the wider Brisbane community.

Hello Switch,
I work as cameraman by tv station here in the Netherlands.
Maybe I going next year to Australia, and i take the camera with me.
Maybe I can make a small movie from the Switch station?
