2008 was one of the Polecats biggest years on and off the field in our 39 year history. Some of our achievements in 2008 were;
• 2008 1st Division Premiers and Minor Premiers.
• Raising money for the National Breast Cancer Research.
• The Inception of the Baitieri/McMartin Cup.
• Our website recording over 1,000,000 hit...s in 11 months.
• Weekly write ups in the Hills Shire Times.
• Being official recognised by the Honourable Alex Hawke in federal parliament.
• Successful Past, Present and Partners and Presentation nights.
• Kellyville Bushrangers day.
• Old Boys Annual Gathering.
• Players and coaching staff featured heavily in the Tertiary league, City/Country Match.
• 2nd Division Semi-Finalist.
But all this would not have been possible without active working committee. So on Thursday January 15, 7:30 at the Castle Hill Tavern, we will be having our Annual General Meeting.
In this meeting we will be deciding the make-up and direction of the 2009 Polecats and also deciding on roles such as president, vice president, secretary and treasurer and other essential roles.
So if you want to help shape the 2009 Polecats, have an idea on how we could run or change the way we did things in 2008 or even if you were thinking of retiring as player but still want to be involved with the club, or even if you like to join us for the first time, then this is your chance.

On Saturday June 14, the Norwest Polecats will take on the Cumberland Beavers for the inaugural Baitieri-McMartin Charity Cup.
The Cup recognises the contributions of former First Graders, Tas Baitieri (Canterbury) and John McMartin (Parramatta / Cronulla), to Tertiary Rugby League throughout this country, and in partic...ular to the two competing clubs. Tas was one of the founding officials of the Cumberland Rugby League Football Club, whilst John has served the Norwest club for over 25 years, playing a significant role in stability and success of the Polecats. Both have also held positions at the State and National tertiary levels, and have been involved in each of the Tertiary Student Rugby League World Cups.
The day will continue that theme of contributing back, with all procedes raised through the day going towards the National Breast Cancer Foundation.
The day will be an all family affair, featuring some quality grassroots Rugby League at Kellyville Oval.
As curtain raisers a Merit League game will be scheduled and Second Grade will kick off at 1:30pm. The main clash will kick off at 3:00pm.
Attendance of the event is free and the post match function will be held at the Castle Hill Tavern.Read More
