Maya Rosman Tad, your info about the gig on Thurs says things start at 9pm, but the Berkeley Cafe's website says starts at 8pm, doors open at 9pm. I didn't want your adoring fans to come to late to see you!

Jessica Tad has 666 fans... this cant be good

Oh dear Lord Somebody invite more friends! Break the curse!

Check out my live webcast show on Friday June 12, at 7:30 pm EST! It will be archived at my Ustream channel afterward, in case you miss it. PS, I had an awesome time in Kerrville TX at the folk festival there. Camped out for twenty days, saw dozens of shows, met lots of cool people...

Back on the ranch, Tad was checking email for the first time in a few days and saw his inbox was full. He decided to set up an “away” message and head back out on the trail. His horse nickered as they trotted up a rocky Texas hillsi

Friend In The Cloud from Tad Dreis on Vimeo. I offered to play three instruments simultaneously and sing an original song in praise of my web host, Surpass Hosting, and I got a free camera out of it. Sweet! I’m madly packing right now for my trip to Texas...

On June 25 I’m opening a show for one of my heroes, Freedy Johnston, and I’m still kind of twitchy just thinking about it. For fifteen years, I’ve done my dishes singing his songs. I get the mail, I sing his songs...

I want to tell you the story of my trip to Iowa, but I keep getting caught up in the details. I end up telling you about the weather, how it was a cool stormy afternoon when I arrived on Sunday and stayed cloudy for my Monday show...

Jacob Rios Great Job! I got to hear your music at NICC Peosta, your music was great and I really enjoyed it! Thanks for the music

Samantha Hartkemeyer Thanks for playing "creep" in CR , IA at kirkwood. I was wondering how the ending was going to work out haha.. I've always wondered how I would manage it. Nice work :)

Mileage may vary, but here’s what I do. I play a set of chords, sometimes only one or two, sometimes as many as four or five, and repeat them until I get a sense of the mood that they create. Then I start singing. I try and sing notes that match the chords, working by ear...

So the webcast show from my office last night felt strangely like a real show, a heady mix of “I’m playing for 30 to 100 people!” and “I’m alone in a room, talking to myself!” You can watch the archived video here...

I’ll start playing at 7 pm Eastern Standard Time. You can watch it here, or go to my Ustream channel to text in comments and requests while you watch

Something a little different this week. At 7 pm EST this Friday April 24, I’m going to set up a webcam in my studio and stream a live performance on UStream.tv. I’ll play from about 7 to 8:30 pm, and you can tune in from wherever you are...

Let’s catch up: last week, I played four shows in Pennsylvania and attended the APCA Northeast conference, where I got to play a showcase and meet a whole bunch of people. Now I am holed up in North Carolina again, setting up shows and mailing out posters for my upcoming Iowa tour...

Nothing Sexy by Tad Dreis Yesterday I was getting all my ducks in a row to go play at some colleges in Pennsylvania, and while I was out mailing posters and other promo stuff, it occurred to me: why not make an easy-to-download MP3 album of popular Tad Dreis songs available to the world...

No, this entry is not related to rock ‘n roll, but it does speak to your basic hungers, much as music does. I had crepes when I studied abroad in France years ago, and when I made some from a cookbook recently, I rediscovered how simple and amazing they are...

Check it out! It’s a mini radio show, featuring friends of mine who’ve recently released new albums, plus one of my own new songs from my upcoming fourth CD. My spoken interludes are pretty lo-fi, but the sound quality on the actual songs is awesome...

Stephanie Curley I loved your performance at Seton Hill. You're music is great and I love the lyrics. :] Can't wait to hear you perform again. ♥

Hello to all! Last month I drove up to New York state two separate times for tours and saw amazing things, such as horses wearing blankets in a field. Another revelation was GPS - who knew navigation could be so easy...

Last week, I was honored to participate in Seamus Kenney’s “All Hail The Comet” sci-fi opera preview. Seamus is in the power-pop band SNMNMNM, and this is sort of his “serious” orchestral side project. If you look closely, you can see projections of space images behind us...

John Fallon took this neat picture of us at the General Store a couple weeks ago. I love the mural behind the stage.
