Founded in 1996, Tain Thistle FC is Tain's only senior football club, competing in the Ross-shire Welfare league in the summer, and the North Caledonian Football league in the Winter.

Tain Thistle welcome Balintore back to Grant Park for their second meeting in the North Caledonian league this season, but will also contest the Graham Jardine Memorial Quaich, won last season by Balintore in a thrilling 5-2 win for the Seaboard men.
Thistle will be hoping to win the trophy for the first time, as well as notching a further three points in the league, having beaten Balintore 6-3 in September.

Tain Thistle are at home to Invergordon in the third match day in the North Caledonian League. Thistle have taken three points from six so far with a loss to Dingwall and an away win over local rivals Balintore, while Invergordon are yet to record any points, having played only Halkirk, in a 6-2 loss up North.
