Tamas Wells After some back of the envelope calculations and comparing them with our band income I decided that while a jet might be out of the question, we might be able to look more at what they call ‘light’ or ‘ultra-light’ aeroplane technology.
Tamas Wells Instead I turned my attention to doing some sums on whether we could always travel in style like this when we went on tour. A few weeks earlier I had seen a documentary about tennis star Andy Roddick and how he hopped around the world from tournament to tournament in his own private jet.
Tamas Wells There was smoked salmon, a slice of roast beef and a prawn salad. Not the usual airplane food, but that was because due to an anomaly in the system I had ended up in business class on the flight from Yangon to Bangkok. I tried a bit of small talk with the suits and diplomats around me but I think they thought that I w...as dressed a bit scruffily to be up in business class with them.

Tamas Wells apparently 'canadian folk indie kids great lake swimmers' have a new album out. I only have their 'bodies and minds' album which I thought was great. But I can't see yangon on their tour schedule though...
Tamas Wells It was 2 degrees in Beijing yesterday and about 40 degrees in Yangon. They say that for every degree of difference over ten degrees, multiplied by five hundred and subtracted from the difference in travelled miles between the departure and destination points of the relevant stopovers...... you are ten times more likely to feel confused and cold on arrival.
Tamas Wells They say that there is yellow fever there. But she said she would rather take her chances than have an injection. I agreed at first but there was hardly a worse thing I could have said.
Tamas Wells I felt the conversation was over. But we just sat there in silence for about 45 seconds. Then she came up with the perfect idea.

Tamas Wells I tried to call him a moment ago But his phoine was switched off. I was actually kind of glad. What was I going to say? 'I'm sorry but I'd actually rather not drive down there on Thursday.'
