I play in a house league, and I think in all the seven or eight years of the league we’ve had fewer than a half-dozen games reffed by women. Now, refs of either gender can miss a hook or a trip or not want to call icing in the 9:30 p.m. game to get everyone out of there at a decent hour.

Me, Mom, Dad, Noah and Bob Nicholson from Hockey Canada on the ice for the presentation at the game ...on Dec. 15th. Hockey Canada was recognizing my 300th international point milestone which I reached back in September.
Hockey Canada presentation to me for my 300th international point at the game last night (BTW, we won 6-2). I reached the milestone on Tuesday, September 1, contributing two assists to help Canada to a 10-2 win over Finland.
