On March 9-10, 2010, the Tanner Humanities Center will host a conference entitled, "The Middle East: Making Peace, the First Steps" with David P. Gardner keynote lecture by Aaron David Miller of the Woodrow Wilson Foundation. Miller has served as an adviser to six secretaries of state, helping to formulate U.S. policy ...on the Middle East and the Arab-Israeli peace precess.
Following Professor Miller's lecture on March 9th, there will be three panel discussions with a focus on Israel-Palestine, Iran, and Iraq.
This event is co-sponsored by the University of Utah Middle East Center, Westminster College, Utah Jewish Federation, Barbara & Norman Tanner Center for Nonviolent Human Rights Advocacy, and the Institute of Public and International Affairs.
