Tapestries of Sound
Join us for a Thursday night of wonderful folk, world and country/soul and alterna-pop influenced music on the 16th April.
Tapestries of Sound will be supporting the amazing-voiced ethereal folktronic Indie performer Sui Zhen at the Hopetoun Hotel on Thursday 16th April. This will be one of Sui Zhen's rare shows as a fu...ll band. Visit www.myspace.com/suizhenmusic to check out their music including their brand new track 'Sailor'!
Aso playing will be the experimental acoustic folk group Redjayway whose songs are described as "laden with curious imagery" and "a dark sense of humour" www.myspace.com/redjayway
Tapestries of Sound will be conjuring up a heady blend of original songs inspired by Indian, Celtic and several shades between with twists of dub, soaring middle eastern vocals, flamenco and other forbidden delights! This will be our last show with singer and percussionist Vanessa Alia before her overseas travels for most of this year so don't miss out on this special gig. The night will also be a special one for Joe Gould of Crooked Fiddle Band fame as the percussion maestro will feature in all three acts!
There will be visuals to accompany the sounds so it's sure to be a sensational experience! All for $10 from 8pm at The Hopetoun Hotel, corner of Bourke and Fitzroy Streets Surry Hills just about 10 mins walk from Central railway station. Tickets can be purchased on the door. Be sure to get there early to ensure entry, a refreshing drink and wonderful company.

Hi Laura,
We've actually done one gig in Melbourne before at the Chalice in Northcote. Nothing planned as yet but we'd defintely be keen to come down again sometime. Melbourne is cool!
