Definitely, if for no other reason than the much higher rates of lactose intolerance among non-Whites. (Maybe that's adults, not children. But I don't know.) It seems like the school systems and the Federal government that gives them the subsidized surplus might be more inclined to pay serious attention to anything pertaining to accusations of institutional racism, than they would be inclined to care about how dairy cows and veal calves are mistreated.

Keep an eye or ear out for chained dogs and report them if you see them being abused and without shelter. If you know the people, offer to buy a blanket and make a suitable shelter for the dog.

That Gasca boy is bad news. He killed the puppy out of revenge by kicking it like a football, stabbing it with garden shears, and gutting it. Sorry for upsetting people with the details, but is there anybody out there who thinks this boy is normal? Martinez his friend apparently found the whole thing funny as he watched and encouraged Gasca. If ... See Morethese boys aren't punished and given psychiatric counselling, they will think NOTHING of hurting a child or killing somebody one day, and it will be as ugly as this crime.

Children could be made to draw a 'rainbow' food chart and draw all the fruits and vegetables they have eaten that week in a rainbow. Blue/purple for aduki beans, blueberries, purple cabbage, grapes, figs. Green for apples, peas, avocado pears, spinach, kiwi fruit. Orange for pumpkin squash, carrots, oranges, sweet potatoes. Red for raspberries, ... See Morerhubarb, watermelon, tomatoes. Yellow for corn, chickpeas, pineapples, bananas, peaches, lemons. It is creative, fun, and it teaches chldren about how diverse fruit and vegetables are and that eating at least 5 a day will add to our health (especially if we pick one from each of the rainbow colours).
